Lorna Joan (Davie) Bal

Lorna Bal (Remembered as Mom, Grandma and Po) passed away peacefully with her family by her side at Brampton Civic Hospital on June 22, 2021 at the young age of 63.

Lorna is survived by her loving husband Rene of 43 years. She was a proud mother of two: Melissa (Brandon) and Ian; Grandmother to Zachary; Sister to the late Irene, Fran (the late Richard), and Ian (Jane).

Lorna will be deeply missed by many. She always put everyone else first before herself. Even in the toughest and most difficult of times, she always made sure that she could put a smile on people’s faces, even if she wasn’t there to see it herself and expected nothing in return. She was the wisest, toughest and most intelligent people alive and made such an impact on so many people’s lives. She never wanted anyone to worry about her because it gave her great joy to see everyone around her happy and living their life to the fullest.

A special thank you to Brampton Civic Hospital and the nurses at the Oncology Palliative Care Department for allowing the entire family to be by her side during her final days. We can’t thank them enough and we will be forever grateful for them giving us the opportunity to be together as a family for one last time.

There will be no funeral service as it was Lorna’s wish to not make a big deal. To honour her beautiful soul, we would kindly ask that instead of sending flowers, that a donation is made instead. Every year, again thinking of others, Lorna would donate to two of her favourite charities around Christmas time: Heart & stroke foundation and CNIB. By donating to one of these charities, it would continue her tradition and fulfill her contribution for this year.
