Lorraine May Futterman (nee Latulipe), 76, of Mississauga, ON passed away surrounded by the love of her family on September 10, 2023, after a courageous battle with cancer.
Lorraine was born on April 27, 1947. She married Stephen Futterman in 1971 and they had four children.
Lorraine was a dedicated mom and wife, always putting her family before herself; constantly shuttling her kids to hockey, soccer, dance and swimming; supporting whatever passion they had. She was a fierce supporter of her children and raised them all to go on to accomplish great things and have beautiful families of their own.
She was well known in the community for her spectacular birthday cakes (she must have made one for every kid in the neighbourhood!), delicious oatmeal chocolate chip cookies, and somehow managing to get everyone around the kitchen table for family dinners, despite their very busy schedules.
Lorraine had a love of gardening and she spent many hours in the summer tending to her beautiful yard. Many evenings were spent enjoying time on the front patio or back deck, socializing with friends and playing cribbage.
Lorraine was predeceased by her parents and her brother Dennis. She is survived by her husband Steve, her four children, Lisa (Rob), Eric (Alysha), Gary (Andrea), and Alison (Angelo); and her nine grandchildren, Jordan, Isabella, Mikayla, Aiden, Charlie, Madison, Jacob, Joanna, and Lillian.
Lorraine was a strong believer in celebrating life, vs mourning death, and often wore yellow (her favourite colour) to funerals. Please wear a pop of your favourite colour and join us in celebrating her life on Sunday September 17, 2023 at 12-3pm.
