Lynn Stephenson

She passed early morning in her sleep of complications from cancer in the company of family.

Lynn is survived by her children Angela and James, her sister and brother Diane and Jack, grandchildren Carl, Kayla and Jason and great grandchildren Azara, Khalhan and Jack. 

Lynn has been a true friend to many wonderful people and a stable welcome home refuge to many children, grandchildren ,nieces and nephews and friends whom are as family. Lynn had a way of making one feel welcome and included. 

 

She loved her cats greatly and over the years was loved back by many lucky kitties... and the odd dog too.

 

She left her print on the world through her work of more than 30 years of high quality drywall finishing with her husband David DeJong. Many homes throughout Kanata, Stittsville and Kemptville have her skilled touch in them. She has left a lifetime of her greatly appreciated artwork throughout her family, friends and community. She has been generous in helping those around her and has passed on many life skills : driving, boating, fishing, foraging, gardening and camping . She's passed on her passion for art, animals and nature. Lynn never had a car accident while she drove family and friends everywhere they needed to go.  Lynn was always honest, direct, even stubborn but always with good intentions and concern for others. Lynn was strong, independent and always true and right.
