Mahinda Hettiarachchi

Mahinda Hettiarachchi, aged 86, passed away peacefully on July 27, 2021 at the William Osler Hospital, Brampton surrounded by his loved ones. Mahinda will be forever cherished and remembered by his wife Cissy Perera, his sons Lasantha and Gayantha, his daughter, Sadna, in-laws, Kapila and Ranjula, and his grandchildren, Himeshi, Dulain, Dilain, Ashane, Vinudi, Haren, and Akein. He was a devoted husband, a loving father, beloved grandfather, uncle, brother, and dear friend.

Mahinda was born on December 27, 1934 in Sri Lanka. He worked as a manager at Aramco Saudi Arabia and had a successful career as a welfare officer at Steel Corporation of Sri Lanka.

Mahinda was greatly loved by everyone around him. His love for his family knew no bounds. Besides family, he also had a passion for travelling, music, and automobiles. Mahinda touched many lives with his generosity and kindness and will be deeply missed.

A funeral service is scheduled for Friday July 30, 2021 10:00 am at St. John’s Dixie Cemetery & Crematorium, 737 Dundas Street East Mississauga, ON, L4Y2B5
