Marcel Beauvais

It is with great heart-ache that we announce the passing of Marcel Beauvais, age 85, on Wednesday, May 26, 2022. Pre-deceased by his wife, Rollande St-Amour and son, Emilien. Dearly loved father of Francine (Rick), Lise, Caroline, Marc (Mindy). Loving grandfather of Amanda, Sarah, Melissa “the girl” (Greg), Richard “the boy”, Jean-Marc (pre-deceased May 26, 2021), Johnathon, Kassy “slick”, Taina “the girl”, and Ashley “the young one.” Great grandfather to Elly-Lan, Mae-Lin, Quynh Le, Ryleigh, Ava, and Ainsley “the baby”.

He was predeceased by his brother Fernand. He will be remembered by his sister Pauline (Ernest), many in-laws, nieces, nephews, and friends.

Marcel worked as an arborist most of his life and as a tree inspector last ten years of working with the City of Ottawa; built two cottages and three homes. He loved dancing and spending time with his family.

At 84, he went zip-lining last summer over the Ottawa River, toured Mont-Tremblant, played mini-golf as well as Glow in the Dark mini-golf. Drove through the “Magic of Lights Ottawa - Wesley Clover Park, last Christmas. He enjoyed eating at Perkins and the Mandarin. Wings smoked in the smoker, a favourite of his. And let’s not forget poutine. He loved his visits to the Ottawa River, in the West end of Ottawa and the last few months in the East end of Ottawa. He loved reading historical/informational magazines, watching the History channel, Gold Rush and movies on Netflix, etc.

Dearest Dad/Grampa/Great Grampa, until we meet again - rest peacefully.

We will all be ok.

In accordance with his wishes, there will be no wake, service or reception. Private Internment.
