Margaret Ernestine Dalton

Margaret Ernestine Dalton (nee Robertson) passed away peacefully May 10, 2019 at the age of 79, while in the Ottawa Hospital. Beloved wife of Donald, who predeceased her, and cherished mother of Shane and Grant (Wendy Weglo). Further survived by her sister Anne Tremblay, and will be missed by many nieces, nephews and friends.
Born and raised in Ottawa, Ernestine was a devoted public servant (Central Pay & Revenue Canada) who was also a tireless volunteer for organizations that sought to improve the lives of people with autism, like her son Shane.
The family would like to thank the staff of The Ravines Retirement Residence for their kindness and for the loving care they provided to Ernestine over the past 10+ years.
A grave-side memorial service and interment will be held at Notre-Dame Cemetery, 455 Montreal Road, Ottawa, on Thursday May 23rd at 1:00 pm. An escort vehicle will be leaving from the front gates to the grave site just before the service begins.
A reception will be held at The Ravines Retirement Residence, 626 Prado Private, Ottawa, on the same day starting at 2:30 pm in the Activity Room.
In lieu of sending flowers, memorial donations may be made to Ottawa-Carleton Lifeskills Inc.
