Margaret Constance Loynes

June 4, 1931 — June 27, 2016

MARGARET LOYNES passed away peacefully, Barb always wondered if it would be peacefully, and having been there with her in the end she now knows that she did. Mom was predeceased by her loving husband Lloyd Loynes. She leaves behind her three special daughters, (all special in different ways) Dawna (Jim Quigley) Calgary, Carol (Ron Anderson) Midland, On., Barb (Wanda McNea) of Ottawa. She was loving Nana to her 4 grandchildren, Matthew & Adam Quigley, Wendy & John Anderson, who will miss their chats and non PC conversations, and special GG to Tyler, Arianna, Cheyanne, Rory, Stephen, Carter, Emma, Hailey and Silas.A Celebration on life will be held on July 31st between 1 and 4 pm. at Perthshire Community Center, Lally Lane, Perth, Ontario.
We have celebrated all of her milestone birthdays in this venue. Surprise of course, but not this one as this is the way she had it planned!
Mom was born in Clayton Ontario and lived for a time in Almonte. She then started to work for the government, moved to Ottawa, met Lloyd. He was the type of guy that wanted his wife to stay at home with is children so she spent many years raising her girls with all that entails and volunteering for the Riverside Hospital and the Children s Aid. After Barb suffered a brain injury in 1980 Mom and Dad helped to start the Ottawa Head Injury Association.
Marg and Lloyd had a full life in Ottawa and their wonderful cottage at Otter Lake. So many friends and family.
Lloyd left Mom so young and she started her new life alone and she made it as full as the past life.
She traveled the world and enjoyed so much and settled in Perth where she started her volunteering for the Great War Memorial Hospital putting in thousands of hours. Made new friends and loved her home and her new town life.
Nearing the end Mom had hoped to leave her home in Perth but due to greater needs she moved to Waterside Retirement Community in Carleton Place where she connected with people from Almonte.
This is where she spent her final months and felt comfortable and safe.
Her family would like to thank all the folks at Waterside for all their caring and loving support of her and now us.
Donations may be made to a charity of your choice.
