Margaret Ellen Sanders

Margaret Ellen Sanders (nee Brookfield) ~ September 4, 1937 - December 15, 2018 in Burlington, Ontario. Beloved Wife, Special Mother, Caring Grandmother.
It is never easy to say good bye to someone you love and Margaret's family take comfort in knowing that everything was done to abide by Margaret's wishes to have a peaceful and respectful transition from this world to the comfort of stepping into God's glory and reuniting with her beloved Roy. In her final days, to her family, doctors and care givers, Margaret continued to share her heartfelt longing to be able to benefit from a palliative approach for physical comfort, with the focus on preventing any physical suffering. The family appreciates everyone on Margaret's medical care team who continued to support the family while acting as her advocates to protecting her dignity and privacy in those last days. We are grateful for the palliative care staff, with a special thank you to Nurses Michelle and Georgette, who demonstrated exceptional care and compassion to Margaret and also to her daughter, as they shared some special final moments together. To those who have been true and steadfast friends to Margaret, her family also wishes to express their appreciation and gratitude. Cremation and a private family gathering honoring Margaret's life has taken place in Nova Scotia and when the spring blossoms bloom, a lone Piper will play "Amazing Grace" as the family scatters Margaret and Roy's ashes.
