Margaret "Kelly" Easton

Margaret "Kelly" Easton of Ottawa, Ontario passed away Sunday July 31, 2022, at the Ottawa General Hospital after a courageous battle with cancer.

Kelly is the daughter of the late Ronald Easton (Pembroke, ON) and Geraldine "Gerri" Henke (Caledon, ON). She is survived by her brothers Don (Linda) Easton of Mississauga Ontario, Jim (Lisa) Easton of London Ontario, and Hans Jurgen of Victoria, BC.

Kelly leaves behind her son Garett Butler (Ottawa, Ontario) and grandchildren Mason and Ava Butler (Ottawa, Ontario) whom she adored. Kelly was an aunt to dozens of nieces and nephews.

Kelly had numerous friends who were drawn to her and her caring soul. She would always look out for the underdog and the downtrodden. Her booming, infectious laugh brought joy to all who heard it and she loved to laugh.

Kelly was an ole soul hippie who touched most everyone she met in life in one way or another. She will be dearly missed by many...

Kelly requested that there be no flowers and in lue of flowers that you please make a donation in her name to the Ottawa General Hospital Cancer Research or the The Ottawa Mission. The family would like to thank the staff in the Ottawa General Cancer Clinic and the Cricical Care Unit for their kindness and for providing great care to Kelly in her final days.

A celebration of life will take place on Saturday August 27, 2022 from 1300hrs (1:00PM) - 1700hrs (5:00PM) at The Royal Canadian Legion, Montgomery Branch # 351, 330 Kent Street, Ottawa, ON K2P 2A6. Phone: (613) 233-7292.
