Margo Gueth

October 7, 1933 — June 5, 2021

My mother was born in Hungary Europe October 7, 1933. We left Hungary in October 1956 when the Hungarian revolution broke out. My mother and father (Louis) left Hungary with my sister (Marika), and myself (Steven). We escaped to Austria to Germany to Italy and then into Holland. We stayed in army barracks in Holland waiting for a country that was accepting refugees to take us in. Canada took us in we went by boat to St. John's New Brunswick. From there we ended up in Toronto. My mother remarried the love of her life (Alex Gueth). She went into the motel business which she loved. She was in the motel business for over 40 year. her first motel was The Hockley Inn in the Hockley Valley just outside of Orangeville. Which then became famous a few years ago because that is where the sitcom "Schitts Creek" was filmed. After the love of her life passed away she moved back to Toronto. She is survived by her loving son and granddaughter. Steven Szabo and Amelia Szabo.
