Maria Luisa (Corral) Hall

August 14, 1941 — August 17, 2020

Brampton

Maria Luisa Hall, 79, passed away suddenly but peacefully on August 17, 2020, at her home in Brampton, Ontario, Canada. She was the widower of Leonard Hall. They shared more than 45 years of partnership and marriage.

Born in Makati, Manila, Philippines, she was the daughter of Amando P. Corral and Florentina Vilena Pestanas. She graduated from Far East University in Manila, Philippines, with a Baccalaureate in Business. She obtained a good job working for the Filipino government but decided to immigrate to Canada to give her family a better life. This allowed her to assist with college tuition for her brother Amando P. Corral Jr. and sister Guadalupe Corral that their parents could no longer afford.

Mary Lou was a long time member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church and loved to travel and try all the different foods these adventures could bring; notably, the different kinds of seafood at various beaches. She will be remembered by her smile that lit up a room and making sure everyone was well fed. She was a mother, a Lola, a Teta and, an Ate too many.

Mary Lou is survived by her sons John (Heather) and Clark (Petra). Her six grandchildren Brandon, Brittany, Elishka, Ella, Elijah, and Alenka. Her two siblings Amando P.Corral Jr (Salvacion P. Corral) and Guadalupe P. Corral. Her nieces and nephews Gerard Corral, Glen Robert Corral, Jennifer Corral-Ramiso, Jessica Corral- Dela Pena, and Jasmine Frances Corral-Derpo. Mary Lou is predeceased by her parents, her husband, and their dog Adak. She leaves behind in the care of her family members, her other beloved dog Missy who eagerly awaits to see Lola in heaven.

Let us all pray for her and that she now lives in the love of our Lord Jesus Christ.

The Funeral service will be held on September 3, 2020, at 9:00 AM-10:00 AM at St. Johns Dixie crematorium and cemetery in Mississauga.
