Maria Kokolakis

It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved family Matriarch, Maria: cherished wife to Alexander of 55 years; devoted mother to George, Anastasia and Harry; adoring Yiayia to Natasha, Angela and Sophia; and loving mother-in-law to Mary and Lorina.

Her love and devotion was felt by everyone in the family. We will miss her sense of humour, her contagious laughter and her passion for cooking delicious, authentic Greek cuisine.

Maria worked tirelessly as a seamstress until she finally retired at the age of 75. She enjoyed sewing items for her local community as well as making clothing for herself and the kids for many years.

She loved animals and had a soft spot for cats, providing sanctuary for the neighbourhood strays. She loved spending her days tending to her garden and watching her favourite Greek programs.

Maria was the last surviving child of six of Haralambos and Chrisoula.

The viewing will be held on Tuesday, November 22, 2022 between 5:00 p.m to 8:00 p.m, with the funeral services the following day, on Wednesday, November 23, 2022 at 10:00 a.m.
