At the age of 96, Maria Sergejewich passed away peacefully in her room on June 24th 2019. Dear mother of Peter Sergejewich Jr. (Norma Yoneyama) and Oma to Lauren and Andrew. Born on December 24th 1922 in Graz Austria, she came to Canada via England in 1951. Here she met and married Peter Sergejewich Sr. (1923-2010) also a recent newcomer to Canada where they started their new life together.
The family is very appreciative of the staff at the Harold & Grace Baker Centre who took exceptional care of Maria during her six years at the retirement residence. Her ashes will be interred at Sanctuary Park Cemetery in Etobicoke.
