Marie-Therese (nee Etienvre) Axcell

May 10, 1926 — May 9, 2019

Ode to Mom
She was born in 1926, in a French town by the sea, She was raised an Etienvre, in the Provence Normandy.
She had a love of music, all classical, you see It was Beethoven and Mozart, it was Chopin, and, not just these.
Along with all her studies, she practiced day and night, her instrument of choice, was the piano, not the voice.
As time went on, a world war came, as a teen, she saw much suffering, she saw much pain, it was a time of fright.
Then freedom reigned, with hope regained, she sought to reinvent, and so became a nurse, trained in England, where she went.
Once 4 years passed, returned to France, to a Paris Publicist, and was instrumental, to get in print, the infamous, "The Little Prince."
She met Terrance, an air force pilot, for Canada you see, he was stationed north of France, where she worked at the embassy.
A wedding in Metz, their first born Brigitte, their second born Reggie, Sailed over the sea, a large Ocean liner, and lived in Ontario, you see.
Once two years had passed, a third born Ingrid, and now we were children of three.
Over the years, she loved all of us, she nurtured and cared, she encouraged our talents and dreams.
As we grew older, she always was there for us, We will never forget how good she was.
She continued to pursue, her dreams and aspirations. of which we are especially proud.
She pursued her passions, became a pianist, wrote poetry, and realized a degree, she did support politics, The Monarchist League, the arts, and divinity.
Her elegance, artistry, and education made her as unique, as her honesty, and her great sense of humor.
There is so much to say, and I can only hope, that I have succeeded in describing our mother. to those who don't know her as we do.
And for those who do know her, it will be a reminder of her uniqueness during her 92 years of life on Earth.
She left us with her eyes smiling to the heavens, and surrounded by family, we wish her a continued best life ever in the good place she has gone.
Till we meet again.
