Marina Dale Somers

SOMERS, Marina Dale (née Stewart) – Passed away peacefully in her sleep at Roberta Place Long Term Care in Barrie on Sunday, August 25th, 2019 in her 75th year after a long and courageous battle with Parkinson’s Disease. Marina will be fondly remembered by her family and friends as being an elegant, joyous and hard-working woman with a heart of GOLD and a strong faith in God. Born in Toronto, raised in Winnipeg, Marina then married and started a family in Denmark. After 25 years, Marina returned to Canada to be closer to her family. Dear mother to Amelie, Kent and Dana. Loving grandmother of Calvin, Jacobi and Jordana. Cherished daughter to Eleanor Fuller of B.C and Walter John Stewart (predeceased). Caring sister to Cheri Bird (Lyle) of Carman, Manitoba and brothers Donald Stewart (Denise) of Barrie and Todd Stewart (Suzanne) of Winnipeg. The family wishes to thank the staff at Roberta Place for the care and support shown to Marina. Cremation has taken place and will be followed by a Celebration of Life at a later date.
