Marlene Wright

It is with deep sadness to announce that Marlene Wright (nee Zammit) of London, England passed away peacefully at home in Ajax, Ontario on May 18, 2021 at the age of 82. Marlene was predeceased in 2020 by her husband and love of her life, Dalkeith; together for over 60 years. Marlene is survived by her only son Keith, daughter-in-law Joanne and grandchildren Kayla, Fiona and Liam.

Marlene had a passion for dancing and playing the games of darts, Yahtzee and Kismet, and she was good at all of them. She enjoyed Swiss Chalet and in later years could not go a day without her beloved Tim Hortons. Marlene loved music, musicals and all things entertainment - so much so that she became a member of ACTRA as a background extra, with her most famous scene in My Big Fat Greek Wedding.

We are deeply grateful for the compassionate care and support provided by Doctors Kassirer and Nagaratnam and all the staff at Revera Westney Gardens.

In lieu of flowers, donations in Marlene’s memory may be made to the Canadian Diabetes Foundation .
