Warm & sincere in your ways
Upright & just to the end of your days
Tender in heart & Humble in mind
What memory could you leave behind
All we ask of God is to grant you eternal rest
It is with profound sadness we announce the peaceful passing of Martha Barbara D’Penha in Canada on January 18, 2022. Martha was born in India and was the beloved wife of late Joseph D’Penha of 52 D Ground Floor, Chuim. She was a loving mum to Beryl (Francis), Cornel (Malachy), Nana of Kimberly (Ryan), Sean, Chris, Rene and great Nana to Damian, sister of late Albertine, late Philomena, and brother to Alfred and Patrick Sequeira.
She was also ‘Nana’ to many and will be dearly missed by her family, friends and neighbours in India and Canada.
Martha will be remembered most for her gentleness, her unwavering faith, her love of sewing, quilting, knitting, crocheting, tatting and most of all her positive attitude, open mind, and kind generosity. She remembered birthday's of family and friends and was always caring and loving towards them. Sometimes miracles are just good people with kind hearts! That was our mum.
Martha’s family thank her doctors, care providers, friends and neighbours, who gave her so much care and happiness.
A funeral mass will be held on Monday, January 24, 2022 at 10 a.m. (Canada EST) / 8:30 p.m. (India Time) at Merciful Redeemer Parish, 2775 Erin Centre Blvd, Mississauga, ON L5M 5W2.
