Retired Welder for Hills Refrigeration and Long Time Superintendent of a Building in Barrie.

Passed peacefully at home, surrounded by family at the age of 93. Beloved husband of the late Leona Fountain (nee Dwinnell). Loving father of Linda Lee, Sandy Glynn (Matthew), Doug Fountain (Terri Waugh), Randy Fountain (the late Terri Stewart), Lori Pain, Mike Fountain (Katia), Kim Faulkner (Pat) and Tracy Laughlin (Dwayne).  Melbourne will also be sadly missed by his abundance of grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren. Dear brother of Barb Giassen. Predeceased by his sons Ronald Fountain and Raymond Fountain. The family would like to thank grandson Little Ron for living with grandpa for many years and allowing him to be as independent as possible. Sandy would like to thank granddaughter Alyssa for her support with grandpa in his final days. Visitation will be held at Jennett Memorial Centre, 152 Bradford Street, Barrie on Wednesday February 1, 2023 from 1:00PM until the time of the service at 3:00PM in the chapel. A reception will follow. Interment at Barrie Union Cemetery in the Spring. As an expression of sympathy, memorial donations may be made to the RVH Cancer Care Program or the Kidney Foundation.
