Michael will be lovingly remembered for his quick, keen sense of humour, his love of family and his enjoyment of the simple things in life like days spent at Centre Island or his daily walks in Toronto parks with his family dogs. Mike was known for having a good heart and many a kind word for family, friends and strangers alike. His good-natured personality allowed him to willingly lend a helping hand when asked, as he had many skills he’d acquired throughout his years working in construction.
Michael’s God-given gift or super-power was to instinctively know what a dog’s needs were and what it took for them to develop into well-behaved, confident and well-balanced canine citizens.
He spoke and understood “dog” like few others.
Michael was a loving son and father and leaves behind his beloved mother, Fran; his cherished son, Jesse Royce Ellis; Aunts Liz and Patti; Uncles Guy and Steven; brother-cousins David, Domenic and their children Natalia, Domenic Jr., Dorian and Trayden as well as Jesse’s mother, Kathleen and his steady companion, Amy. He will also be missed by many other loving cousins and friends.
Michael will be interred at St. John’s Norway Cemetery alongside his great, great grandparents, Company Sgt. Major James Sullivan and his wife Anne Harmon.
