Aye Yai Yai... It is with saddened hearts that the family of Michael Peter Taras Gavadza, announces his passing at the age of 72. Mike was born on October 23rd 1948 in Hasselt, Belgium to the late Jaroslaw and Anna of Ukraine. He passed away peacefully on Wednesday, March the 3rd, 2021 at home in Toronto. Mike spent his life as an extremely outgoing, funny and charismatic man who loved his Children and Grandchildren more than anything. You’d know how much he loved you if you were one of the lucky ones to ever receive a hug from him. He was a multi sport athlete at Kirkland Lake Collegiate and Vocational High School. Had lifelong friendships with Jean-Marc Guinard, Eugene Lysiwskyj and the late Jack Allaire. Mike spent his long working career in business as a Manager, Skilled cabinet maker and a Canadian Tire associate. He was forced to retire a bit earlier than expected due to his declining eye sight. Eye sight or not Mike still found a way to continue his daily crossword puzzles, and read books and the news with a coffee and a few packs of cigarettes by his side. Mike will be dearly missed by his children Jason (Bernie) Julie-Anna and Ryan (Kelly), Proud Grandpa to Dimitrios, Jordan, Jolee and Shakur, former husband of Mary. Brother to Billy and Mary. Loving In-law to many, Uncle Mike will be missed by so many nieces and nephews. At Mike’s request no service will be held.
