Michael George McInnis (Retired M.W.O. 35 years distinguished with Military Medal of Merit, UN Peacekeeping and C.F.E. 2 years RCR & 33 years with the Medical Corp.) Passed away unexpectedly at the Royal Victoria Regional Health Centre, Barrie surrounded by his family on Wednesday September 13th, 2017 in his 77th year. Beloved husband of 56 years of Thelma (nee Kinslow). Loving father of Lonna George (Whitey) of Cole Harbour Nova Scotia, Andrew McInnis of Barrie, Michele Miles (Lorne) of Camrose, Alberta, Sheldon McInnis (Erin) of Guelph, and Sandra Askew (James) of Hamilton. Cherished Poppy and Pops of Shanea, Tonya, Brielle, Nikolas, Owyn and Cole. G.P. of Ethan, Hailey, Cabri, Addyson, Emmit, David, Jake and Royce. Dear brother of Billy McInnis (Faye) of Sydney Mines, Cape Breton, Earl McInnis of Point Aconi, Cape Breton, Robert McInnis (Darla) of Tide Head, New Brunswick and the late Wilma McInnis, Bernice McInnis and Flunt McInnis. Also survived by sister-in-law’s Joan Byers, Georgina Stewart (Angus), Linda Ratchford all of North Sydney and Shirley LeBlanc of Cape Breton and by several nieces and nephews.
