Michael Silvey

The family of Michael James Silvey are saddened to announce his unexpected passing at the age of 43, on Saturday, November 18 at Royal Victoria hospital in Barrie, Ontario.  Beloved by his mother & best friend, Susan Clark (Step Father, David Clark deceased), Father, William Silvey (deceased), Sister, Patricia White (Greg), Brother, Andrew Silvey (Celeste) and Step Sister, Amanda Clark (Sean Dennis deceased), Step Sister Lori Franco (Joe deceased).  Survived by his maternal Grandparents William & Dorothy Heasley of Brockville, Ontario. Predeceased by his paternal Grandparents William & Agnes Silvey of Midland, Ontario.  He will be truly missed by his many Aunts, Uncle, Nephews, Nieces, Cousins & friends. 

For those that knew Michael, knew him as truly warmhearted, kind, compassionate and loving. He was a devoted son, always there for his mother.  He was selfless and would often drop whatever he was doing to accommodate the needs of his family and friends.   

He loved the outdoors especially fishing, was a true handman and enjoyed camping and spending time around a bonfire. He had a love for animals & spent countless hours caring for his mother’s two dogs, Benji & Sweetie.   He will be indubitably missed but never forgotten by those that loved him.  

Michael had a strong religious faith and would be honored that you join his family at a   funeral mass Friday, December 8 at 3:00 p.m. at St. John Vianney Church, 13 Baldwin Lane, Barrie, Ontario.  A reception will follow in the parish hall from 4:00 – 6:00 p.m.
