Mikulas Pstross

Mikulas Pstross, beloved husband, father and grandfather, passed away on October 8, 2020 after a short battle with cancer.  He will be missed dearly by his wife, Dagmar, his son Tomas, daughter-in-law Karen and grandchildren Logan & Abigail as well as his brother and sister-in-law Tomáš and Václava Pštross and nephews Mikuláš, Dominik, Martin and Pavel.

Originally from Prague, Czechoslovakia Nick arrived in Canada as an immigrant in the late 1960's, embracing the Canadian life, fiercely proud of being both Czech and Canadian. He loved the outdoors, in particular hiking and swimming in the Gatineau Hills and cycling in eastern Ontario. His warm smile and an infectious laugh brightened everyone's day.

Tremendous and heartfelt thanks to all of the hospital staff who has helped out over the past 5 months. The care and empathy displayed on a daily basis by everyone from social workers, doctors, nurses, occupational therapists, nutritionists, people who check you in at the front desk and even parking staff was an incredible help during the end of Nick's journey.

A funeral service will be held at 10:00am, Friday October 16, 2020 Chelsea United Church, 8 Mill Road Chelsea with a burial to follow. Due to restrictions arising from the current COVID-19 environment, please contact the family via email at pstross@me.com to request to be added the guest list if you would to attend the service.
