Nicholas John Siller

It is with heavy hearts, that we announce the peaceful passing of Nick on December 17, 2024 at Ian Anderson House in Oakville, Ontario.

Nick was a kind, gentle man who enjoyed cooking, gardening, furniture refinishing, teaching, helping others and most of all his family.

Nick loved to reminisce about his long impressive career at Toronto Metropolitan University (Ryerson to him!)

He had fond memories of the Geography Program that he helped build and the colleagues who became his lifelong friends.

Nick was predeceased by his parents Nicholas and Ethel Siller and his brother in law Edward.

Nick leaves behind his wife Carolynne, daughters Joanna (Sylvain) and Susan.

His grandchildren Reegan, Gavin, Averie(Roland), Justin and Guillaume (Sarah), and his great granddaughters Romy and Agathe.

Nick also leaves behind his brother Theodore (Patricia) and his sister Mary (late Edward), as well as his nieces and nephews .

He will also be greatly missed by his dear friends Jeanette and Vasse as well as Alex, Noah and Nathan.

We would like to thank all of the friends, neighbours and family who took the time to visit Nick in the hospital, at home and at Ian Anderson House during his brief illness.

The stories you shared really meant a lot to Nick and to all of us.

We would like to thank the nurses, personal support workers, staff and volunteers at Ian Anderson House. The kindness and compassion that you showed Nick will always be fondly remembered and appreciated.
