Nick Trantos

In loving memory of Nick Trantos, 66, who passed peacefully on April 30, 2024, at Royal Victoria Regional Health Centre in Barrie, Ontario, surrounded by love and family by his side. When the moment came, he faced it with dignity, strength, and love as he did with everything throughout his life. 
 

Nick was born on October 6, 1957, to Tom and Athena Trantos in Toronto, Ontario. He was a cherished father, devoted husband, adored grandfather, beloved brother, uncle, cousin, son, nephew, and friend. Nick's life was a testament to love, kindness, and the appreciation for the beauty in the world. His gentle spirit and warm smile brought joy to all who knew him. Nick's passion for life was evident in his love for the Leafs and Blue Jays, and for the outdoors, music, traveling, the beach; most importantly, spending time with those he loved. Nick was selfless and generous, adventurous, and fun, honest and kind, leaving an indelible mark on everyone he met. Nick has a knack for making friends easily and making all friends feel like his best friend. 

He is survived by his wife Sandy; daughter Jennifer; her husband Lee; granddaughters Nevaeh and Oliviah; parents Tom and Athena; father-in-law Clifton; older sister Mary and her family, John, Evelyn, and Sam; younger sister Valerie and her family Paris, Thomas and Renee; aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.

His memory will forever be cherished by all who knew him, as he leaves behind a legacy of love, laughter, and precious moments. Nick has left a permanent footprint on all of our hearts.   He will be deeply missed but fondly remembered. 

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, May 7, 2024, 10:00am to 11:30am at Basic Funerals Jennett Memorial Centre, 152 Bradford Street, Barrie, Ontario L4N 3B5. Religious services will follow at the Memorial Centre.

The family wishes to thank the Royal Victoria Regional Health Centre, Respiratory Inpatient Unit, especially Sylvain G, for their loving care.
