Nicolaos "Nick" Selimos

It is with great sadness and broken hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved ‘Nick’ Nicolaos Selimos, on Friday July 21, 2023.

He was predeceased by his parents George and Efrosini Selimos, his brothers Demetrios and Kelly (Kallistratos), his ‘simbethero’ Dimitris, his sister-in-law Georgia and her Son George.

Nick is survived by his two sons George, Dimitrios (Theodora) and his precious granddaughter Nikoletta-Demetra. He is also survived by his brothers John, Paul (Astrid), and numerous nieces and nephews.

Nick was born and raised in Kastri Kinourias Arcadia, Greece. In 1961 at the age of 17 he immigrated to Canada and settled in Regina Saskatchewan where he worked in various hotels and restaurants as a chef.

Ten years later in 1971 he moved east to Toronto where in 1972 he met and married Polyxeni and were blessed with two boys. Nick started his retirement life when he was 72 years of age. He enjoyed tending to his garden and having coffee with his friends. But his biggest love was being with his granddaughter, she always brought the biggest smile to his face.

In lieu of flowers donations in Nicolaos memory can be made to Cancer Society.
