Nikolas Zahariadis

September 24, 2007 — April 7, 2025

Toronto

With broken hearts, we announce the passing of Nikolas Zahariadis on April 7, 2025 in St. John’s NL, at the age of 17. Nikolas was born on September 24, 2007 in Edmonton, Alberta.

He was a bright, gentle soul — deeply curious, endlessly thoughtful, and quietly creative. He had a passion for aviation, science and photography, always asking questions, always seeking to understand the beauty and complexity of the world around him. His sensitive heart and inquisitive mind brought light to those lucky enough to know him. Nikolas left an indelible mark. His kindness, his wonder, and his love live on in the hearts of all who knew him.

He will be forever loved and deeply missed by his parents, George Zahariadis and Michelle Levy; his loving sisters, Sofia and Callie; his grandfather, Nikolaos Zahariadis and his wife Sheila Flood, and grandmother Calliope Zahariadis, grandparents Robert and Roslyn Levy, his aunt and uncle, Cara and Moise Bensimon; his cousins, Asher and Levi Bensimon, and Great Uncle Theo Ioannis Zachariadis and a circle of extended family and friends whose lives were touched by his presence.

To quote Nikolas, “enjoy the big things in life, by appreciating all the little things.” May we all carry that wisdom forward, in his memory.

Rest peacefully, sweet Nikolas.

You are loved beyond words and missed beyond measure.

May you finally be at peace.
