GUTHRIE (Hill), Olive Bernice “Stubby” – It is with great sadness to announce that Bernice passed away peacefully at the Royal Victoria Regional Health Centre, Barrie, on Monday, March 29, 2021 in her 94th year. Beloved wife of the late Ray Guthrie (2/19/21). Bernice will be lovingly remembered and missed by her children; Dianne Ierullo (Dominic) of Toronto, Allan of Barrie, daughters-in-law Judy and Vicky, predeceased sons, Ron and Don “Beaver.” Loving and proud grandmother to 15 grandchildren and special great-grandmother to 11 great-grandchildren. A very special and loved Auntie Stub to many nieces and nephews. Survived by sister Alice Pepper of Orillia. Predeceased by her mother Olive May Kilpatrick “Nanny Bingo,” step-father William Kilpatrick and brothers Louis Hill and Larry Kilpatrick. Some of her many interests and loves included her Border Collie dog (BG), her family, birds and peacocks, flowers, her back deck and a glass of red wine, cooking/baking, quilting and crafts, pencil crayon colouring artist, everything ‘Sparkly’ and her love of travelling. May she rest in divine Eternal Peace and continue to share her special ‘Sparkle’ with us.
A memorial service for Bernice and Raymond will be held at a later date. Arrangements entrusted to Jennett Funeral & Cremation Centre, 152 Bradford Street in Barrie. As an expression of sympathy memorial donations may be made to Grove Park Home. Condolences may be forwarded to the family by visiting www.funeralhome.on.ca
