Palmer Bowman

BOWMAN, William James Palmer  – Passed away peacefully in his sleep at Sara Vista Nursing Home in Elmvale on Thursday August 15, 2019 in his 86th year. Beloved husband of the late Sheryn Bowman. He is the last to pass away of 10 siblings - five sisters (Marge, Audrey, Bet, Francis and Sally) and four brothers (Joe, Sheldon, John and Austin). Palmer had a professional career in Midget Wrestling (Pee Wee Rogers) in his twenties and travelled all over North America from event to event. Eventually Palmer made his way back to Barrie and began a career at Cooper Tool where he retired. Collecting and selling antiques was the hobby that Palmer could not get enough of. Special thank you to Sara Vista Nursing Home for taking kind and thoughtful care of Palmer over the years and in his last hours. A Celebration of Life will be held October 6th from 1-4 pm at Lions Gate Banquet Hall, 386 Blake St., Barrie, Ontario. As an expression of sympathy, memorial donations may be made to Little People of Ontario.
