Patrick Joseph Flanagan

It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden but peaceful passing of Patrick (Papa) on Sunday October 27, 2013, at the age of 65, at home with his family after a short but brave battle with cancer. Proud and much loved father of Julie Flanagan (his best friend Ian MacKay) and Jeffrey Flanagan (Tammy MacDonald). Adored Papa of Hilary McIntosh, Kaygan and Carter MacKay, Madison and Jenna Flanagan. Life long partner of Bonnie Hoffman. Predeceased by his parents Juliette (Belair) and Joseph Flanagan, and brothers Roland and Richard Flanagan. Survived by his sister Pauline Labelle and brother Mike Flanagan. We are truly grateful for the excellent care Pat received from CCAC, nurses at WeCare, family Dr. Honsl, and Dr’s Hurdon, Gick, and Bright from Community Palliative Medicine Associates. Pat insisted his death not be mourned. Respecting his wishes, friends are invited to celebrate his life with us on Sunday November 3, 2013 1-5 pm at his home, 7510 Flewellyn Road, Stittsville.
