Surrounded by his family, Paul passed away peacefully on Wednesday, January 11th, 2017 at Lisaard House Hospice, at the age of 89 after battling cancer.
Born in the artistic city of Vienna, Austria on the 22nd of June, 1927, his passion for travel took both Paul and Hildegard on numerous adventures from skiing and hiking the European Alps, walking on the Great Wall of China, to experiencing the summer solstice at the northernmost point in Europe.
As expressions of sympathy, donations to the Lisaard House Hospice would be appreciated by the family in memory of Paul Statz.
