Paule Mercier

It is with heartfelt sadness that Paule Mercier’s family announces her passing on February 22, 2024. Beloved daughter of the late Jean Mercier and Denyse Mercier; mother of Chantal, Éric and Christine Werner; sister of Hélène, Michel (Linda Sine), Louise, Julie (Danny Neilon), and André (Daniel Desjardins).

Paule was a vibrant person who loved being around her friends and family. She loved to laugh, sing and dance, and her happy place was in the water. She was kind, caring, and always made sure everyone was taken care of. This was fully returned to her as she was surrounded by friends and family during her last moments. The family extends their thanks to the staff on the 6^th floor of the Ottawa General for their care and compassion throughout her stay. 

At Paule's request, there will be no public funeral services. Donations to the Canadian Cancer Society are appreciated.
