Pauline Sylvia Galbraith

April 6, 1933 — February 13, 2020

We celebrate the graduation of Pauline Sylvia Galbraith to a place of higher learning on February 13, 2020.

Pauline started this life on April 6, 1933 in Stratford, Ontario to the joy of her parents Mary Doreen (Schenck) and Laurence Herbert Galbraith and her older sister Joan Yvonne Galbraith.

Pauline enjoyed a wonderful life in Stratford, where she performed as a figure skater and a ballet dancer, eventually having her own dance school at a young age with over 400 students. Later she joined the Stratford Shakespearean Festival where she performed in The Taming of the Shrew in 1954 and many other plays through to The Merchant of Venice in 1955.

With a wonderful artistic talent Pauline enjoyed interior decorating as well as painting and drawing with coloured pencils. Many of her joys were sharing meals she cooked with family and friends around her table, feeding the birds and squirrels around her and caring for her garden to share with others. She also had a beautiful singing voice.

Pauline will be lovingly remembered by her daughters Alani (Tom), Catherine (Susan), and Caryn (Carson) as well by her grandchildren Ben (Christine), Alex (Dionne), Graham, Matt & Kate, Mary, Jonah & Frankie, Joel & Nicole, Logan, Mathew & Katie, Samuel & Alexa. Her great grandchildren Owen and Michelle and many loving friends.

A private ceremony for family will be held at a later date.

Donations to the Wild Bird Care Centre (on Moodie Drive in Nepean Ontario) would be much appreciated to continue the joy Pauline took in feeding the birds and squirrels around her home.
