Peggy (Alford) Keeping

At the remarkable age of 100, and under the care of the amazing staff at Stoneridge Manor in Carleton Place, Peggy Keeping passed away peacefully on January 31, 2023. Lovingly known to many as Gran, she was a wonderful blend of grace and kindness, wit and realism, and taught us never to underestimate the power of a good cup of tea. We are saddened to lose a family member so special, but are comforted by the fact that she had an extraordinary life and was loved intensely by her family. She will be deeply missed and forever celebrated. Peggy is predeceased by her husband of 48 years, Eddie Keeping and her loving daughter Deborah Auger (Gerry). She is survived by her daughter Catherine Mellor (Thomas) and her son Barry Keeping. She is also survived by grandchildren Cathi Auger, Derek Auger (Greg Manning), Joanne Guibord (Nicholas), Emma Auger (Marwan Eldib), Sean, Liam and Kathleen Mellor (Spencer Brown); her great grandchildren Isaac and Hannah Gacem, Kailyn and Douglas Guibord, Yazan and Saja Eldib and Ensley Brown. May she rest in peace and her memory live on in our hearts and laughter.
