Persad Banwaree

Persad Banwaree, also known as Bodes, was born in Trinidad, WI, and passed away peacefully on June 30, 2021, at the age of 96 in Mississauga, Ontario, Canada. He was the loving husband to the late Roshni, and loving father to their children Celia (David), Sally (Carl), Vishnu (Sue), Vidya (Ken), the late Vashti (Ian), and Vitra (Richard). Bodes has twelve grandchildren and nine great grandchildren. He was the brother to sisters Kamal (late Sonny), the late Ramdaye (late Paul), and brother to the late Deolal (late Lilah).

Bodes had a cheerful disposition, was extremely generous, supportive to friends and family, and consistently encouraged them to aim higher. He was an avid reader, loved to travel, solve challenging crossword puzzles, going to beaches, and spending quality time with family members.

He will be sadly missed and fondly remembered by his family and friends in Canada, Trinidad, USA, and the UK.
