Peter Kroon

KROON, Peter passed away at home at the age of 91 with family by his side on April 21, 2022.   Beloved husband of Irene Kroon (Bowler).  Loving father of Joyce Allen, Bill Kroon (predeceased), P. J Kroon (Shannon). Devoted Opa to Jason, Vanessa Kroon (Tim), Aaron (Kim), Kurtis and Courtney and great Opa to William, Leah, Victoria and Arthur.

Peter was born on October 1, 1930. He lost his mother, Elizabeth Keenan, at a young age and was raised by his father, Willem Kroon and his older sister, Anna. As a young man he learned the value of hard work and was always looking for a way to make money. While in elementary school, he delivered newspapers and worked with his father on their ten-acre farm.

In 1949, he met the love of his life, Irene Bowler. They married and lived a full life together for almost 70 years. Peter worked many different jobs with challenging schedules, while raising their three children. He never really complained about much. He was a devoted husband and wonderful father; one who always put the needs of his family first. He also became a loving grandfather and even a great-grandfather, giving tractor rides at the age of 90. His passions were his family, his garden and the challenge of fixing something that was broken.

He will be deeply missed by friends and family, and anyone who got the chance to hear his stories.
