Soo, Phyllis (May 1, 1931 - September 4, 2014) passed peacefully at the Oakville Hospital on September 4th, she was 83 years old.
Predeceased by husband John and her parents Rueben Bolton and Mary Emma Harris. Mother of Peter, David and Stuart and Grandmother to Michael, Lauren, Sebastien, Danielle and Brandon.
Phyllis was born in Eccles, England and was raised in a large family including siblings Mary, Beryl, Mavis, John, Bob and Peter. John, Phyllis and the boys emigrated to Canada in December 1970; first to Deep River, ON before settling in Whitby, ON.
Phyllis worked for many years at the Oshawa General Hospital. She was a member of the Whitby Seniors' Activity Centre and the Oshawa Lawn Bowling Club.
She travelled extensively with a fondness for taking cruises. In the early nineties Phyllis and John would spend winters at the Swiss Golf and Tennis Community in Winter Haven, Florida.
Special thanks to all the staff at the Northridge LTC in Oakville for the amazing care provided over the past four and a half years.
Cremation has taken place and her ashes will be placed with husband John at the Spring Creek Cemetery in Clarkson, Mississauga.
