Phyllis Alexandra Thompson (nee Young)
It is with profound sadness we announce the passing of our much loved Mother, Grandmother and Great-Grandmother. Phyllis was born in Quebec City, January 10,1931 and passed away April 5,2020 in Scarborough, Ontario.
Mom was predeceased by our Dad, Harry Ralph Thompson and our brother Charles William Thompson. She will be lovingly remembered by her daughters Linda Gay (Brad), Jayne Cascagnette (Tony), grand children Jeremy (Stacey), Sarah (Andrew), Jason (Jessica), Darryn (Tori) and great-grandchildren Tristan, Keaton, Charlee, Rooney, Gabriel, Logan and Claire. Mom will also be greatly missed by her extended family Dallas, Luisa and their children Maya and Luke; Dan, Crystal and their children Aniyas, Audreyna and Coltyn. Also missing Mom is her good friend Gary Gronlund who spent many happy hours visiting our Mom.
Mom had a great love of music. She loved to sing hymns and country music. In their retirement years, Mom and Dad spent many happy days fishing on the lakes and rivers in northern Ontario. She also loved watching NASCAR and figure skating. Mom made the best raisin cookies ever!
We would like to extend our gratitude to the 5th floor staff of Seven Oaks Long Term Home for the care and compassion they gave to our Mom.
Cremation has taken place. Interment will follow at Mount Herman Cemetery, Quebec City at a later date.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to your local Alzhiemer’s Society or the charity of your choice.
