Pia Cristina Mattiussi Polo, born on October 13, 1928, in Italy, passed away peacefully at home on April 9, 2025. She lived a life rich in love, family, and cherished memories, leaving a profound impact on those fortunate enough to know her.
Pia's legacy is carried on by her beloved children and their spouses: Rose and Rinaldo Brunetta, Giancarlo and Blanca Polo, Anna Maria Polo, Antonio and Orietta Polo, Gabriella Polo, Cristina Polo and Peter Garcia, and Luciano and Mariana Polo. Her warm spirit continues to inspire her grandchildren, Erika Brunetta, Daniel, David and Ricardo Polo, Alberto Munoz Polo, Leonardo, Orianna and Flavio Polo, Sofia Guirados, Jessica and Alejandro Garcia Polo, Natalia and Andrea Polo, and her great-grandchildren, Emma and Noah Brunetta, Lucas, Nathaniel and Anna Medem, Jax and Maverick Polo, Luca Pineda Garcia, and Sienna Angela Polo who will forever cherish their memories with her.
Pia was predeceased by her parents, Francesco and Ursula Mattiussi; her husband, Luciano Polo; her sisters Luigia, Maria, and Natalia; her brothers Luigi and Giuseppe; her aunty Maria San Vidotto (MIMIA); and her beloved grandchild Ivano Brunetta. Their presence, though missed, will forever remain in the hearts of her family.
A Mass will be held on April 22, 2025, at 1:30 PM at St. Anthony of Padua Church, located at 940 North Park Drive, Brampton, where family and friends are invited to gather to celebrate her life and spirit. Following the Mass, she will be laid to rest at the Old Cemetery of Brampton, located at 10 Wilson Avenue, Brampton, with the burial commencing at 2:30 PM, and a reception at 12 Axminster Road in Brampton to follow.
Pia will be remembered for her unwavering love, warmth, and compassion. Her memory will live on in the stories shared by her loved ones and in the lessons she imparted throughout her life.
