Randi Lee Johnson

September 11, 1967 — September 25, 2020

With great sadness and shock, we announce the sudden passing of Randi Johnson.

Randi Lee Johnson sadly passed away suddenly and unexpectedly on Friday, September 25, 2020 at the age of 53.

Beloved son of Betty and Carmen Johnson (predeceased) - Brother to David Langille (predeceased), Brother to Guy Langille (Marty) both predeceased - sister to Bonnie Langille (Ed), Cindy Gardiner (Allan), Penny Lyons (Kerry), Kim Johnson (Rob). He was both an Uncle and Great Uncle to many nieces and nephews.

Randi was a long-term participant of Pegasus Group - Beaches location. At Pegasus, Randi was a fearless leader. He trained all new staff, students, and volunteers. Randi was a strong advocate for persons with disabilities. Rain or shine Randi showed up all events from holiday parades to fashion shows. Randi cared deeply for his family and friends. Randi's smile, light and laughter will be greatly missed by all his friends and staff at Pegasus.

Randi was a resident of North Yorkers for Disabled persons where he resided for the past 13 years. He will be missed by all the residents that lived there as well as all the staff that worked there.

Randi loved coffee and it tasted even better if he could get one with honey in it. He enjoyed everything that he was involved in, from playing cards to going to concerts like Kenny Rogers. He loved watching anyone that would sit down with him and knit, crochet, rug hook, sew, put together a puzzle. He loved going to the CNE every year and going on the rides. Randi was out and about 7 days a week and enjoyed being on the TTC Wheeltrans bus for the many trips he took. Randi also enjoyed attending March of Dimes Geneva Park camp in Orilla every summer - it was one of the highlights of his entire year. Randi was always game for a road trip and has travelled from Nova Scotia to British Columbia.

It didn't matter where Randi went - whether it was the Science Center, Royal Winter Fair, CNE, doctor's appointments, he always ran into someone who knew him.

He will be missed deeply by all who knew and loved him.
