Ray LaVerne Lemke

Ray LaVerne Lemke was born on April 17, 1939 in Empress, Alberta. Ray passed at home on August 27, 2017 after a long struggle with cancer. He handled his treatments with courage and good humour throughout.
Ray was pre-deceased by son Scott in 1991, sister Ruby Benson in 2015, brother in law Bernard Benson in 1985, brother Clifford Lemke in 2014, mother Laura Lemke in 1995 and his father Otto Lemke in 1978.
A special thank you all those who supported the family including friends, neighbours, members of TGTWRN Guitar group and Rideau Flying Club and CFUW. A special thank you to the members of the palliative care team from LHIN and the oncologists Dr. Morgan, Dr. Cripps and Dr. Dennis.
Memories of Ray will be kept by his wife Joyce, daughter Tara, son-in-law Jason, grandchildren Sierra and Zachary and Jason's parents Renie and Toivo Schonberg.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Sunday October 15, 2017 at the Nepean Sailing Club, 3259 Carling Avenue starting at 1:30 pm.
