Martineau, Guy Richard 1949 – 2018
It is with heavy hearts that we announce that Richard lost his long and courageous battle with cancer on July 15, 2018 at the age of 69.
He leaves behind his beloved wife, soulmate et l’amour de sa vie, Hélène (Amyot). Cherished son of Marcel et Thérèse. Dear father of Michel (Natalie) and Mathieu (Deborah Davidson). Dear brother of Charles (Marianne), Pierre, and Nicole Nalepa (late Michael). Will be sadly missed by stepsons Martin Amyot (Marie-Claude) and Simon Amyot (Natacha). He also leaves behind his cherished grandchildren, niece, nephews, and friends.
Private inurnment followed by a memorial celebration of Richard’s life will be held on July 26, 2018 at 1:00pm at Hope Cemetery, 4600 Bank Street, Ottawa.
Many thanks to staff and doctors at the Queensway Carleton Hospital and a special thank you to the palliative team (CPMA) and nurses at the Saint Elizabeth Healthcare for their compassionate and exceptional care.
