Richard (Rick) William Hunter

Richard (Rick) William Hunter September 28, 1955 to July 11, 2024. With heavy hearts we are sad to announce Rick Hunter passed away suddenly at age 68 on July 11 2024, due to complications from a heart attack. 

Rick leaves behind his loving life partner Caroline Boland, and their two daughters Brittney and Amberly Hunter, and his dog Watson. Rick will also be missed by his siblings; Carol (Michel), Joyce (James), Sharon (Paul), Jeff (Sharon) and Penny along with his 17 nieces and nephews, 15 great nieces and nephews and 1 great great niece. Rick was predeceased by his parents Bill and Elsie Hunter, brother Bob and sister Kelly.

Rick loved spending time with friends and family. His passion for airplanes took Rick to numerous Airshows and Airplane Museums. Rick was an avid photographer over the decades and loved to share wonderful photos with family and friends. He loved listening to music and drinking a cold beer with friends and loved ones. Rick’s dog, Watson will miss his evening walks with Rick. He was always there to lend a helping hand when needed from his friends and family to random strangers. Rick was a hard working man and enjoyed going to work. 

We would like to thank all the nurses and doctors in the CCU at Trillium Hospital for the exceptional care of Rick. We are grateful for everything they’ve done.
