Robert Joseph Villeneuve, affectionately known as Bob, was born on September 3, 1955, and has left us to join the great fishing waters beyond on April 17, 2025. A profound loss has been felt by many who were privileged to know him, and as we remember Bob, we celebrate a life that was filled with passion, camaraderie, and a generous spirit.
Bob was the father of Sabrina Reynolds, who resides in Alberta. He was also a brother to his late sister Carole Villeneuve of Chesterville, Louise Robillard (the late Paul) of Calgary, Paul Villeneuve, Diana Maloney of Russell, and Denis Villeneuve of Ottawa. His love for his family ties was profound, though could also be challenging at times, however he took great pride in being a beloved Uncle to a plethora of nieces and nephews: Kimberlea Villeneuve, Christiane and Eric Robillard, Shannon Albret-Gray, Colin Charbonneau, Sarah Holmes-Whisstle, and Allison Villeneuve and godfather to Melissa Rainville.
A true lover of nature and the great outdoors, Bob found immense joy in fishing and spending time at the cottage, where he created countless cherished memories. He was known for his infectious enthusiasm for fishing, often gathering friends and family to venture out to their beloved fishing hole, always eager to lend a helping hand in exchange for a spot on the boat. His playful nature extended to his love for sharing a cold beer, enjoying laughter and stories with those around him.
Bob had a rebellious streak from a young age, a quality that endeared him to many and piqued their admiration and for some frustation. Despite this rebellious spirt, he embodied love and giving throughout his life, nurturing those relationships that mattered most to him.
The funeral and burial services are planned for late summer 2025, and those wishing to honor Bob are encouraged to reach out for details. As we bid farewell to a truly remarkable man, we hold tightly to the memories and the love that he gave so freely to all. Bob Villeneuve will be deeply missed, but his spirit and zest for life will live on in the stories shared and the hearts he touched.
