Robert Jose Camara

On January 30th, with his family by his side, Robert peacefully passed away. He was preceded in death by his parents Eduardo and Maria (do Carmo) as well as his wife Carol (Gardner). Robert was a good and loving father to his children Lesley, Glen and Paul. He is survived by his siblings Edward (Maria), David (Isaura), Maria “Fibi” (Manny), Bert (Mientje), his grandchildren Taylor and Kennedy (Kyle), and his great granddaughter Ellie. Robert will be missed by many nephews and nieces, friends and his great little buddy, Louie. After long term employment with Westroc, Robert enjoyed his retirement golfing, spending time at his trailer, watching hockey and baseball. In his younger years he had been a soccer player playing for the Oakville Portuguese Soccer club with his brother Bert. Robert was an excellent cook and enjoyed making meals for his friends and family – seafood was his specialty. He loved driving his Jeep and being outdoors with his family, especially the summer gatherings at the Camara Picnic. Robert’s memory will live on in the hearts of those who loved him, including the Gardner family. A celebration of life for Robert will be held on Wednesday March 13th at the Paletta Mansion in Burlington at  4250 Lakeshore Rd. from 3-6:30pm.
