Robert Ledingham Geikie

It is with big tears and heavy hearts to share with you that Robert Geikie has peacefully passed away in Ottawa on March 26, 2019.
"I’m Free"
Don’t grieve for me, for now I’m free I’m following the path being pain free I hope you see. My son took my hand when I was called on March 26th I closed my eyes to leave it all.
I could not stay another day To laugh, to love, to tinker in life or to watch another Nascar Race. Tasks left in advance, must stay that way, to help my children know that I have found that peace at the end of my day.
If my parting has left a void Then fill it with remembered joy. To my circle of life whom I have shared a friendship, my children whom I shared a laugh, oh yes, these things I too will miss.
Be not burdened with times of sorrow I wish you the sunshine of tomorrow. My life’s been full, I savored much Good friends, good times, a loved one’s touch.
Perhaps my time seemed all too brief Don’t lengthen it now with undue grief. Lift up your hearts and peace to thee it was time for me to have been set me free.
