Robert Joseph Lazar William McDermid

(Bob) went home to be with his Lord and Saviour on May 14, 2017 after a long battle with end stage Kidney Disease. Predeceased by his parents Geogette and Harry McDermid & baby brother Eldon. Bob is survived by his wife Gwendolynn and children Garry, Dean, Darrin, Tammy and Robbie and his sister Marlene and brother Richard McDermid. Grandchildren Kayla, Ashleigh, Braedon, Theresa and Sara, several great grandchildren, nieces & nephews. Bob will be cremated and a Celebration of Life will be held early in July. Details to follow.
I would like to give special thanks to the staff at St. Joseph’s Hospital and Dialysis unit who did everything they could to care for Bob during the past five months. I would also like to thank London PD Clinic and Medicine Hat PD clinic for their exceptional care throughout the past few years as Bob progressed through this illness. A special thanks goes out to Bob’s children Garry Rushton(McDermid) for his devoted attention to taking care of my needs at this time. He has done his father proud. Tammy McMeechan and Marlene McDermid have been by my side through the entire time of Bob’s hospital stay and it has helped me and Bob through this difficult time and I am very greatful for them both.
