MORRISON, Robert Wesley
Passed away at home after a short yet courageous battle with cancer on Sunday, June 18th, 2017 in his 62nd year.
Loving husband of Christine McCarthy. Beloved father of Jennifer Chludzinski and Don, Melissa Netta and Jonathan, and Amy Virtue and Quinn. Proud grandfather, better known as Cap'n Rob to Hannah (Little Sweets) Isabella (Pumpkin) and Noah Robert. Survived by his brothers Wayne and his wife Corina, and Doug and his wife Annie. Wonderful Uncle to Sean and Laura, Tanner and Alyssa.
Rob (Bobby, Bob) was in the nursing profession for over 35 years. He was a much loved and respected orderly prior to his nursing career in Mental Health at Peel Memorial (William Osler). In his younger years Rob would refer to himself as a "motorcycle enthusiast" and a thrill seeker, loving the winding roads and hills. He loved roller coasters and was always up for a game of crib, backgammon, or a good euchre game.
Friends may call at our home on Tuesday June 27 , 4:00 p.m. for a celebration of his life. Tributes honouring Rob and sharing of memories will begin at 6:00 p.m. (7 Soccavo Cres. Brampton, ON L6Y 0W3)
The family would like to thank the Dr.'s and staff at the Credit Valley Oncology Centre, along with the Brameast Palliative Care Team. Though only in their care for a short period of time, Dr. Kelly and Amanda provided the best of care and compassion to both Rob and Christine.
Memorial Donations in Rob's name may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society.
