Robert Wayne Power, known by most as Bob or RW, passed away peacefully on December 22nd, 2020, at 80 years old in Barrie, On. He was born December 5th, 1940, to parents Francis and Mary in Halifax, Nova Scotia. He will be remembered dearly by his children, Shawn Power of Dartmouth, NS; Chris Power (Janet Power) of Edmonton, AB; Meghan Williams (Ray Williams) of Barrie, ON; Jaime Power (James Chappell) of Guelph, ON. He is survived by his grandchildren, Kayla and Brittany Power and Jackson Chappell. He is survived by one sister, Sharon Chesterfield (Jim Chesterfield) of Burlington, ON. He was predeceased by his parents Francis and Mary Power of Nova Scotia; and his siblings, Frank, Ken (Beatrice), Rick, Phyllis (Teri) and Kathy (Eugene).
He will be fondly remembered by those who loved him for his fantastic storytelling, his love for Cadillac and Elvis Presley, and his passion for the game of golf. He spent most of his life in Guelph, Ontario, where he started his own company in the ’80s called Bolyn, which produced screen-printed clothing. He was known for his style over the decades, as you would find Bob in a pair of cowboy boots, a cowboy hat and a large belt buckle at any time of the year.
Bob lived quietly over the past decade, but he made many friends and touched many hearts along the way. He will be dearly missed by most but loved by all.
Due to the pandemic, there will be no service. The family would love to hear your memories of Bob, so please share a memory on his tribute wall.
