Roderick "Rod" Joseph Woodland

It’s with sadden hearts that we announced the sudden and unexpected passing of Roderick “Rod" Joseph Woodland on September 27, 2020, at the age of 62.

Rod was Born in New Waterford, Novia Scotia to his mother Helen Evans (Keith predeceased) and father Henry William Woodland (predeceased).

He will be missed dearly by his wife of 42 years Jackie (nee Nicholson) and canine companion Molly. Loving father to Cory (Stephanie), Amanda (Nik Hall) and Tracy MacDonald (JR) and cherished grandpa to Fraser, Oliver, Blake and Lacey.

Beloved brother to Bill (predeceased), Linda Martin (Peter) and Michael (Donna McDonald) and will be sadly missed by many nieces and nephews.

He will be remembered as a tried and true Toronto Maples Leafs fan. His passion for sports was infectious and the rivalry will live on in his family and friends.

Cremation will take place in private and a celebration of life will be arranged at a later date. If desired, donations to Jumpstart charity for kids would be appreciated by the family.
